Full Description

The Solaris 47 is a beautifully specified 2018 performance cruiser, designed by Javier Soto Acebal and built by Solaris Yachts in Italy.

Combining genuine sailing performance with the comfort and refinement expected from a premium Mediterranean cruiser, the Solaris 47 occupies a distinctive position between performance-oriented sailing yachts and conventional cruising yachts.

She has had one owner from new and has been used privately for family cruising, with no charter history. She was comprehensively specified from the outset for comfortable cruising and easy short-handed sailing.

Her specification includes two Harken Performa 60 electric winches, bow thruster, Fischer Panda generator, air conditioning, full teak deck including the coachroof, opening swim platform, tender garage, carbon folding passerelle and an extensive premium sail wardrobe from OneSails and North Sails.

Her sail inventory is particularly noteworthy and includes a OneSails Forte 215R mainsail and jib, North Sails 3Di self-tacking jib, approximately 195 m² North Sails asymmetric spinnaker, OneSails cruising Code 0 and a dedicated staysail.

Below deck, she offers an elegant three-cabin, two-head layout finished in oak, comprising a generous forward owner’s cabin with ensuite head, two double aft guest cabins, a spacious saloon and a well-equipped L-shaped galley.

Power is provided by a Volvo Penta D2-60 60 HP diesel engine with approximately 800 running hours, coupled to a saildrive and Max-Prop feathering propeller. Manoeuvring is assisted by an electric bow thruster.

A Fischer Panda 5000i generator, showing only approximately 165 running hours, provides independent onboard power for comfortable extended cruising.

This Solaris 47 represents an attractive opportunity for an experienced sailor looking for a yacht capable of delivering rewarding performance under sail without sacrificing the equipment, accommodation and comfort required for extended Mediterranean cruising.

BROKER’S COMMENTS

The Solaris 47 should not be considered simply as another 47-foot cruising yacht.

She combines sophisticated Italian design, high-quality composite construction and genuine sailing performance with a level of comfort and equipment suitable for extended cruising.

Her one-owner, private-use history, together with an unusually comprehensive factory specification, distinguishes her further. Two electric Harken Performa winches, bow thruster, generator, air conditioning, tender garage, full teak deck and a substantial premium sail wardrobe make her particularly appealing to an owner who intends to sail actively rather than simply motor between destinations.

She offers an increasingly difficult combination to find on the brokerage market: a serious sailing yacht that remains genuinely comfortable for family cruising and manageable short-handed.
