Full Description
OVERVIEW
AKITO is a 21.60-metre performance sailing yacht built by Ice Yachts and designed by Felci Design, combining a lightweight composite construction with powerful sailing characteristics and a comfortable cruising-oriented interior.
Originally built in 2008, AKITO has undergone an extensive programme of upgrades and technical improvements, particularly between 2022 and 2026. Major works include replacement of the standing rigging, hull and mast refinishing, installation of a new Yanmar 250 HP engine, new-generation B&G navigation electronics, extensive hydraulic servicing, hull treatment, renewed exterior and interior upholstery, watermaker overhaul and numerous mechanical and systems upgrades.
Her layout is particularly notable for its two separate cockpits and independent access routes, creating a clear distinction between guest and operational areas. This configuration provides privacy for guests while allowing the crew to manage the yacht without unnecessarily passing through the principal guest spaces.
KEY FEATURES
Extensively upgraded 2022-2026
AKITO has benefited from substantial recent investment across her machinery, rigging, navigation systems, hydraulics, hull, interior and deck equipment.
New 250 HP Yanmar engine
A major advantage for a yacht of this age, significantly reducing one of the principal technical concerns associated with purchasing an older performance yacht.
Standing rigging replaced in 2023
Nitronic 50 rod rigging was completely renewed, complemented by a PBO backstay and extensive hydraulic servicing.
Modern B&G navigation package
The 2024 electronics upgrade includes Zeus displays, Halo radar, autopilot and H5000 equipment.
Composite performance construction
Glass, carbon and Kevlar composite construction combines structural strength with the weight-conscious approach expected from a Felci-designed performance yacht.
Double-cockpit configuration
Separate guest and manoeuvring cockpits provide privacy and allow crew movement and yacht operations to remain largely independent of guest areas.
Strong recent sail inventory
The sail wardrobe includes Quantum composite mainsail and genoa together with multiple OneSails gennakers and staysail.

ACCOMMODATION
Cabins: 4
Guests: 6
Crew: 2
AKITO’s interior was designed around the concept of separating guest accommodation from the yacht’s operational areas.
The double-cockpit arrangement provides independent entrances. The guest cockpit gives direct access to the main saloon and owner’s accommodation, while the manoeuvring cockpit provides access to the navigation station, galley, technical and engine spaces, and one of the guest cabins.
Main Saloon
The main saloon features a dining area to port with a large surrounding sofa.
To starboard is a long reading sofa, while immediately aft is a wet bar incorporating a refrigerator and a large retractable television.
A Bose Hi-Fi system is installed, continuing the entertainment arrangement found throughout the accommodation.
The dining table is mounted on a sliding support arrangement, allowing access for inspection of the bilge area beneath.
Owner’s Cabin
The owner’s cabin is positioned forward of the mast and features a large double berth.
The cabin benefits from its own private bathroom with separate ensuite shower, creating a comfortable and private owner’s area away from the operational spaces of the yacht.
Guest Cabins
A second double guest cabin is located amidships and has its own bathroom and shower, with direct access to the dinette.
The aft double guest cabin also features a private bathroom with walk-in shower and incorporates an additional berth.
Hull windows provide natural light to the accommodation areas, with the exception of the aft guest cabin.
Crew Accommodation
The dedicated crew cabin is fitted with two bunk berths and its own bathroom.
The arrangement allows the crew to operate independently from the principal guest accommodation.
Each guest cabin and the crew cabin is equipped with an individual safe.
All bathrooms are fitted with Tecma electric toilets and Grohe faucets.
GALLEY & LAUNDRY
The galley is comprehensively equipped for extended cruising and includes:
- Double stainless-steel sinks with Grohe mixer tap
- Techinpex tilting three-zone induction cooktop

BROKER’S DESCRIPTION
AKITO represents an interesting opportunity for an owner seeking the sailing performance and engineering of a large Felci-designed yacht without sacrificing the comfort required for extended cruising.
Her specification today is particularly relevant because the yacht should not be assessed solely on her original 2008 build year. A substantial programme of upgrades carried out from 2022 through 2026 has addressed many of the major systems normally associated with the ownership of a yacht of this size and age, including the main engine, standing rigging, navigation electronics, hydraulics, hull protection, propulsion system, watermaker, upholstery and numerous onboard systems.
The combination of her 21.60 m length, 6.00 m beam, Felci Design pedigree, composite construction, powerful sail plan and unusual double-cockpit arrangement gives AKITO a distinctive position between performance sailing and comfortable Mediterranean cruising.
