Antares III is a custom-built 30-metre performance sailing yacht delivered in 2011 by the renowned New Zealand shipyard Yachting Developments. Designed by Bruce Dixon with elegant interiors by Rhoades Young, she combines advanced composite construction with exceptional sailing performance, refined onboard comfort and true long-range cruising capability.

Designed as a true bluewater performance cruiser, Antares III combines a lightweight composite structure with a powerful sailing platform and substantial onboard capacities. Under power, she comfortably cruises at approximately 10 knots and reaches a maximum speed of around 12 knots.

Her generous fuel, freshwater and waste capacities support extended cruising with reduced reliance on shore facilities, making her particularly well suited to long-distance offshore passages.

ACCOMMODATION

Antares III has been carefully arranged to provide excellent owner comfort, guest privacy and efficient professional operation. Three beautifully appointed guest cabins accommodate up to seven guests, while the crew accommodation is positioned separately forward.

The full-beam owner’s suite is the centrepiece of the accommodation and benefits from private deck access. A VIP double cabin and twin guest cabin with an additional Pullman berth complete the guest accommodation.

The dedicated crew area includes two forward crew cabins and a separate crew mess, allowing up to four crew members to operate the yacht discreetly without compromising guest privacy.

INTERIOR

The Rhoades Young interior combines timeless styling with practical functionality for extended cruising.

A bright upper saloon incorporates the dining area, navigation station and bar and connects naturally with the cockpit through opening windows, creating an inviting social space between the interior and exterior areas.

A separate lower saloon provides an additional private lounge and relaxation area, giving owners and guests several distinct living spaces onboard.

GALLEY

The professionally equipped galley has been designed to support both private cruising and high-level onboard catering. Premium Miele appliances are complemented by generous refrigeration and freezer capacity.

A dedicated laundry area further enhances the yacht’s practicality during extended periods away from shore.

MACHINERY

Reliable propulsion is provided by a Scania D1-12 59M diesel engine developing 331 kW / 450 HP. The engine is coupled to a ZF350A gearbox and a four-blade Armatec variable-pitch propeller.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

A comprehensive hydraulic system operates many of Antares III’s primary sailing and deck systems.
